review of 2005 and forward of 2006
this year has been up with so many events.... and God's mercy has been so great on me , giving me strength to persevere throughout the hectic schedule ... especially in the beginning of the year.
events 2005-
1. Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging of Indoor Bands April 2005 , Singapore Conference Hall
with 4 practices a week and homework and studies had to be done real fast, the first four mths were real hectic , teaching me to really manage my time real well, as well as sacrificing personal stuff...
though the band attained a silver ( and it has been since 2001) , i think that one person out of 57 who participated could not make the whole band acheive a good gold... i learnt that it's the spirit and the unity and the commitment of the band that really puts in the effort ... everyone really needs to co-operate. if not it's either a win-win or lose-lose situation....
2. First Semestral
God has been so faithful and He guides me well, doubling my time after the SYF competition to prepare. He has blessed me with so much good marks and results even during the Common Tests and Class Tests and SA1. God blessed me with a top position in class, 4th in level. All GLORY TO GOD! I thought i could not retain that position but God has been merciful and always there through tough times .....
3. August Band Concert
There has been really no rest for the band after SYF and it's real tired after SA1. Again, back to 4 times practice and it's really tough, going back home feeling real tired.... after blowing alot and practising..... 7 songs we had to prepare and with the additional role of a librarian (i/c of scores ) , it gave me a bigger responsibility to give out as well as photocopy scores....
4. Calling of my Grandma back home to the Lord
On 10 Jul 05, my grandma collapsed at home and was admitted to hospital. Few days b4 her passing, she was warded in ICU and had contracted dengue haemorrhagic fever too ... She knew she was going back home to the Lord. It was a really traumatic experience as i faced my first experience occuring on a close family member. But i know God's timing is perfect and heaven is the best place for my grandmother. Two and half hrs later after her passing, her physical body moved and i knew it was her spirit.... in front of 20 of us ..... but God has told me there is nothing to be scared of death if i have a close relationship with Him. It was in mid of my band concert preparation as well as class tests too.
5. Drawing closer to God
i drew closer with God after the band concert and it was so good to have an intimate relationship with our caring Heavenly Father.... i learnt to trust God and putting all my burdens on Him ( Matthew 11:28) i have to depend on God and not my own strength ... God is the creator and i'm His creation / potter. During my Common Test 2 , i feel a sense of peace while doing the tests.. though initially my friend told me that he had higher marks than me, i was confident that i could win him overall.. and he didn't wanted to count in the art results later....
6. Second Semestral
God has been so good , giving me good results.. His unfailing blessings and care and love on me has really been so great... i don't know how to thank Him except to obey and worship Him....
He knew i wanted to go to a triple-science course and reserved a place there for me ..... God's so great and with Him , things around you change greatly ....
7. Elim Church Camp 05
This church camp in Melaka taught me alot of things, that without a vision , we will all die!!! (Proverbs 29:18) Through it, we learn that we have to really pray , obey and have faith in God ... and there's still many things we can learn from God. But the most important is to fulfil His will! The camp is great and i really wannna go4 it next yr.

My Resolutions 2006
1. To Glorify God
2. To have a perseverant spirit
3.To be patient
4.To have a willing and positive attitude in all tasks
5.To continue doing well in my studies
6. To overcome obstacles
7. To grow physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually
8. To be more Christ-like!
- all this are not possible using my own strength but only through God, could i succeed!
- next yr will be another hectic year, especially in a triple-pure-science course, many things to learn and memorise ... But with God all things are possible and with His strength ( Phillipians 4:13)
- so in just 2 and half hrs, it's 2006 and God will continue to guide me through as well as glorify His wonderful name!
