Well the week has been ok for me -normal- is the word to describe the week; and i soon realise that the year is coming to an end , just about one month left in 2006 and fast approaching to an O-level year.
Normal week, did everything normal, band , church .... however was sick last wk due to flu, and it was initially a sorethroat which later develop into flu and then cough and it was allergy- and later it was really sickness. I didn't manage to take medicine in time.. but thank God for His healing.
so took MC last tuesday, and was quite exhausted due to sickness.
then on friday night youth, talk about the uncut series, and worship was all about holiness or rather pure (Rom12:1-2) and it was related to this series(refer to last week's post if u don't know what i'm talking about)
saturday was a day of purchasing books - not storybooks but assessment books. Went to second-hand bookstore, it was flooding with books. My dad was actually recommending and letting me make the decision whether to purchase. I was quite frustrated with the number of books publishers publish due to competition, and all books look about the same. I wanted a book where there were answers with explanatory notes but i only found one which was a physics book. So bought some ten-yr series books. And hope that can complete them.
at night went to shuqun symphonic winds concert, the conductor was the same as compassvale, so i thought it should be quite good. We were forced to go for this concert by our teacher and their repertoire was quite short - 5 songs + 2 encore. and they invited the primary sch brass band to play tonghua... quite good for pri sch. But overall i found the band's standard quite okay not as fantastic as i thought it would be, and they had this play accompanied by the band called goldilocks and the three bears (very lame for sec sch to have such a play) and the music started off with carmen fantasy, with some funny effects after that. The ACS barker auditorium was surprisingly huge,i think it has 500 seats, unfortunately it wasn't full house. and the principal of the school was our sch's ex-principal.
(that's not the reason why we were forced to go, there is another reason which i wouldn't mention)
after playing the last song which was disney fantasy, their encore was abba gold and saturday night fever. abba gold reminded me of my concert's encore 2 years ago where we played it w/o our teacher's approval. and the song quite okay. enjoyed it - a silver band.
sunday went to church in morning and this man of God- douglass norwood- spoke with some humour, and talked about perseverance, obedience and praise to God. then went to parkway ate duck rice, then got a call from jiffsen say go for bbq organised by band ncos (mostly dms,bms) from previous batch(was to replace terrence)okie i went instead of going for evening svc. so went there with jingxuan, quite boring, later walked around then decided to leave. ok came back home....
ya for today it was normal again, just got call from teacher rgd band transport for conference hall rehearsal one month from now and then piano lessons
