hey back from youth camp on friday night...
well the whole of last week was great time at port dickson. youth camp was great! well, i just can't reiterate the point but God is just so good throughout.
day 1
reached church abt 640+ in the morning... jus couldn't sleep the previous night. well we are so hyped up and ya left for checkpoint. not many ppl could tolerate the tour guide in our bus when we started our journey after clearing customs ( not complaining here... hehe) . but apart from that, the bus journey was long and just slept most of the time... only to play bridge while reaching there. the lunch in melaka was great... with shu ai and franklin going around from one table to another taking wedding pics... reached the resort... and well could tell it was a little run down and old... but i guess it's still 'survivable' - definitely if not why ps wil would book this place. and the games were short due to lack of time. and my group i guess is great - with dom hulme, franklin, marcus koh, angelica, tiffany, and trischa (who was here for the 1st time)... but i guess we gel well and i mean God really taught me alot here through this experience as grp ic.
night service was great... difficult questions were asked... and ps julie was great! she's so sensitive to God that in subsequent services, it was more of ministry than preaching. well our hearts gotta be settled first before we can hear the word.
day2:
woke up and started doing the devotion. i conducted it in somewhat chim way... but well it's a learning process and i think i was better for the subsequent devotions... juz gotta let God take charge. morning services were great...simple activity on bgr thingy - on what guys want girls to noe and vice versa- the rebuttals and arguments were clearly put forth from both sides. at the end of the session, ps julie juz said that we are all special and unique in the sight of God... wow. afternn games of 5 stations was great... won 3 games... lost one becoz i lead my member to sit on the wrong chair... and the other was a close narrow gap of 1-2 in captain's ball. after games, played a game of captain ball at the beach. great fun!
food was not really good... flies flying here and there... and i guess i got used to it soon.
night session was great where at the end of the session, each one of us were told to support and thank Ps wil by giving him a hug... well it was a moment that was rather emotional....
day3:
devotion was good i sae... i juz let God take charge. and thanks to Franklin for helping me.... morning's altar call was dealing alot with the heart issue.
and different leaders prayed over my life - well, it was something that i really needed... and well it sure helped me place my trust inGod.
photo taking session was way too long.... haha... but i guess we weren't very hungry due to God's presence in the altar call.
games weren't tiring in the afternn.... played some passing the plates game... and we won.... thank God. well i din expect to win actually.
then while others swam, we played taiti - 8 of us , my bro jon, me, derek on, michelle, tiffany, josiah, adele and bo chun... well bo chun was losing horribly in the initial stages of the game... and derek made a prayer which he won - for that round... haha... take note God doesnt approve gambling it's wrong. and subsequently it became a vicious cycle where i was one of the top two... and bo chun won for three rounds i guess...
night service was great! i juz hoped that the camp could just continue. just as we are settling down, we gotta leave the next day. night games were dirty... had to lead my grp and it was a challenge with them being blindfolded and giving them instructions.
well the camp for day 4 swiftly past and it was quite a fast journey back home compared to going. well, exams are starting in 5 days time... and it's really the time to live REAL! and that's the camp about getting REAL!
